Job Title: Senior Clinical Engineer - DIRECT HIRE - ONSITE

Salary Range: $125,000 - $150,000 + exceptional employee benefits

Medix is currently seeking an experienced (5+ years) Clinical Engineer for an exciting Direct Hire / Full Time Job opportunity with one of our non-for-profit health system clients in the Los Angeles area.
Our client is expanding - this role will be a Senior Clinical Engineer to help oversee all new Clinical / Biomedical equipment, including the evaluation of products, the risk assessments, equipment testing / validation, equipment training, and ongoing user support.
A Certified Clinical Engineer designation is highly preferred, but we will consider applications with 5+ years professional experience in a health system / hospital setting
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working onsite, in Los Angeles, 5 days / week.
- Collaborating closely with leaders in various hospital departments to provide solutions for the unique Clinical Engineering needs across surgery, anesthesia, ICU, med-surge, infusion, Labor / Delivery, etc.
- Owning Clinical Engineering projects from start to finish
- Evaluating and planning for Biomedical / Clinical equipment at a new hospital, currently in the construction phase.
- Collaborating and facilitating with Biomedical Technicians, Clinical Staff and Clinical Vendors on a variety of brand new Clinical Engineering projects
- Conducting risk assessments for equipment, and overseeing equipment testing and validation processes.
- Leading equipment training
- Overseeing equipment incident response - investigating, root-cause analysis, issue resolution.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Required Bachelor or 4-year College Degree
- Required + years of professional experience, working in a Health System / Hospital Setting
- Certified Clinical Engineer (or Associate Clinical Engineer) designation is highly preferred
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Exceptional communication skills
