Job Title :Technical Delivery Manager
Location: United States – Marlborough , Massachusetts – (5 Days Onsite)
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Delivery Manager to act as a critical bridge between onshore stakeholders and offshore delivery teams. This role requires a strong blend of hands-on technical expertise, architecture leadership, and stakeholder management. The successful candidate will lead design and architecture discussions, guide offshore teams on priorities, and partner closely with enterprise architects, IT leaders, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, modern technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture
• Lead architecture and design discussions across application, data, AI, and cloud platforms.
• Define and review solution architectures, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, scalability, security, and performance requirements.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance in areas such as microservices, enterprise architecture, UI frameworks, AI/ML, data engineering, and cloud platforms.
• Review design artefacts, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation produced by offshore teams.
• Act as the technical authority for complex design decisions and technology trade offs.
Onshore–Offshore Coordination
• Serve as the primary technical interface between clients, onshore teams, and offshore delivery teams.
• Manage effective handoffs between client teams and offshore teams, ensuring clarity on requirements, design decisions, and delivery expectations.
• Help prioritise tasks and activities for offshore teams in alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Ensure offshore execution aligns with approved architecture and quality standards.
Stakeholder Management
• Work closely with Enterprise Architects, IT Directors, VPs, and senior business stakeholders.
• Lead and contribute to architecture level and design level discussions with senior leadership.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business focused communication for non technical stakeholders.
• Provide regular technical updates, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
Delivery Enablement & Governance
• Ensure solutions adhere to enterprise architecture, security, and compliance guidelines.
• Support project planning by providing technical inputs, estimations, and dependency assessments.
• Identify technical risks early and proactively recommend mitigation strategies.
• Mentor and guide offshore engineers and senior developers to strengthen overall delivery capability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Core Technical Skills
• Strong retail domain expertise.
• Strong experience in Microservices Architecture (REST APIs, event driven architectures, service orchestration). Experience in Java, Spring boot, Python.
• Solid understanding of Enterprise Architecture principles and large scale system design.
• Experience with UI Architecture and modern front end frameworks (React JS/ Next JS, Micro front-ends).
• Practical knowledge of AI/ML concepts and platforms (designing AI enabled applications – Generative AI, Machine Learning, Agentic AI ).
• Strong background in Data Engineering (data pipelines, data platforms, analytics, Databricks).
• Hands on experience with Cloud platforms (AWS), including cloud native design patterns.
Leadership & Communication
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders confidently.
• Proven experience working with and leading distributed/offshore teams.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a solution oriented mindset.
• Ability to balance technical depth with business context.
Experience
• 10+ years of overall IT experience with significant experience in technical leadership or architecture roles.
• Demonstrated experience interacting with enterprise level stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Prior experience in client facing roles is strongly preferred.
Nice to Have
• Exposure to SRE, DevOps, and modern delivery practices.
