Senior Network Security Engineer (Hybrid – Richmond, VA)
Location: Mechanicsville, VA (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain secure on-premises and Azure network infrastructure.
Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools.
Manage firewall rules, WAF technologies, and network security controls.
Perform threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and remediation.
Support penetration testing, security documentation, and network architecture.
Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, and Security teams to ensure a secure environment.

< data-start="1093" data-end="1117">Required Skills

8+ years of Enterprise Networking experience.
5+ years of Enterprise Security experience.
3+ years of Azure Networking and WAF/Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) experience.
Experience with Palo Alto, F5 BIG-IP, Azure WAF, Cisco VPN, GlobalProtect, Splunk or Microsoft Sentinel.
Strong knowledge of incident response, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and security monitoring.
Experience with Active Directory, MFA, Conditional Access, Cisco ISE, NAC, 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS, and Zero Trust.
Familiarity with NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, CIS Benchmarks, and regulated environments.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and mentoring skills.

Experience supporting large enterprise environments (300+ network devices).
Azure certifications such as AZ-500 (Azure Security Engineer) and AZ-700 (Azure Network Engineer)
