RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a Development Security & Operations Engineer in Miami, FL (Florida).
Summary:
We are seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to integrate security practices, tools, and automation throughout the software development lifecycle. This role partners with development, operations, and security teams to identify vulnerabilities, improve secure coding practices, automate security testing, and strengthen the organization's overall security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Integrate and maintain security tools within CI/CD pipelines
* Perform automated code scans, security assessments, vulnerability testing, and code verification
* Partner with developers to identify security issues and recommend remediation
* Automate security processes throughout development and deployment workflows
* Secure cloud-based environments and support compliance with industry standards
* Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities
* Recommend security improvements based on emerging threats and technologies
* Promote secure coding practices and security awareness across technical teams
* Support regulatory, compliance, and cybersecurity-related initiatives
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or 10+ years of relevant cybersecurity/development experience in lieu of a degree
* Experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, software development, or a related technical role
* Programming/scripting experience with Python, Java, Ruby, or similar technologies
* Experience with CI/CD, container orchestration, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and security automation
* Cloud security experience with Azure and/or AWS
* Experience identifying vulnerabilities and developing remediation or mitigation strategies
* Knowledge of vulnerability assessment, threat modeling, risk management, encryption, and secure development practices
* Understanding of network architecture, protocols, system administration, and secure network design
* Knowledge of regulatory/security frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2
* Strong collaboration, communication, and incident-response skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
