Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a DevSecOps Architect in Fort Lauderdale, FL to lead the integration of security throughout the software development lifecycle. This role will design, implement, and automate secure-by-default practices across CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, applications, and infrastructure while driving a shift-left security culture.

Responsibilities:
* Design and implement enterprise DevSecOps architecture and secure SDLC frameworks
* Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines with automated security testing (SAST, DAST, SCA, IaC, container, and secrets scanning)
* Develop security automation, policy-as-code, and compliance-as-code solutions
* Architect and secure cloud environments across Azure and AWS
* Lead application security reviews, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and penetration testing efforts
* Establish cloud security guardrails, infrastructure-as-code standards, and container/Kubernetes security controls
* Create developer-focused security tools, training, and best practices
* Define DevSecOps metrics and continuously improve security programs and processes
* Mentor technical teams and promote a culture of shared security ownership

REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, DevOps, cloud engineering, software engineering, or related disciplines
* 4+ years focused on DevSecOps, application security, or security engineering
* Hands-on experience with Python, Go, PowerShell, or similar scripting/programming languages
* Expertise with Azure and/or AWS cloud security architectures
* Experience with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, or other IaC tools
* Strong knowledge of CI/CD platforms including GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or Jenkins
* Experience with SAST, DAST, SCA, container security, IaC scanning, and vulnerability management
* Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Zero Trust principles, IAM, and secure software supply chain practices

Preferred Qualifications:
* Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CSSLP, CKS, Azure, or AWS Security certifications
* Experience working within regulated environments and compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS or SOX

Professional Skills:
* Strong technical leadership and problem-solving abilities
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to translate security requirements into practical engineering solutions
* Passion for automation, innovation, and secure software delivery

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
