Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a Cybersecurity Automation Engineer in Fort Lauderdale, FL to design, develop, and maintain enterprise security automation solutions that enhance threat response, streamline identity operations, and improve cybersecurity effectiveness. This hands-on engineering role will build scalable applications, integrations, and automation across security, IAM, cloud, and compliance platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop security automation solutions, integrations, and orchestration workflows
* Build and maintain APIs, automation tools, dashboards, and self-service portals
* Automate incident response, threat detection, alert triage, and remediation processes
* Develop integrations across security, IAM, cloud, and ITSM platforms using APIs and scripting languages
* Implement Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines for automation deployments
* Support identity lifecycle automation, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and access governance processes
* Design and maintain cloud-based and containerized automation platforms
* Research and implement emerging technologies, including AI/ML-driven security automation capabilities
* Establish automation metrics and continuously improve operational efficiency and security outcomes

REQUIREMENTS:
* 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, security automation, software development, or security architecture
* Strong development experience with Python, PowerShell, Node.js, Go, or similar languages
* Experience building enterprise automation, orchestration, and integration solutions
* Knowledge of REST APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, and modern integration frameworks
* Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS
* Familiarity with IAM technologies, identity governance, MFA, PAM, and access management
* Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, ARM/Bicep, or similar technologies
* Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and software development best practices

Preferred Qualifications:
* Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, Microsoft SC-Series, Azure, AWS, or equivalent
* Experience with SOAR, SIEM, security analytics, and security operations platforms
* Familiarity with AI/ML solutions and security automation use cases

Professional Skills:
* Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
* Ability to translate cybersecurity requirements into scalable technical solutions
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Self-motivated with a passion for automation, innovation, and continuous improvement
* Comfortable working in Agile, fast-paced environments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
