Salary: $80k-105k based on experience
What You'll Do:- Design, develop, and test custom rotary electrical connectors from initial concept through production.
- Create and review detailed drawings using SolidWorks to convey design intent and functionality.
- Develop test criteria and setups for prototypes, including mechanical and electrical validation.
- Produce work instructions and documentation for manufacturing and assembly teams.
- Collaborate with vendors and machine shops to optimize manufacturability and meet project deadlines.
- Support all phases of product development, including prototyping, testing, first-article qualification, and manufacturing processes.
- Contribute to a cohesive engineering team working on innovation, troubleshooting, and performance improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or a closely related field.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks for 2D/3D design and drawing creation.
- Proven ability to build and troubleshoot prototypes, including machining and modifying parts.
- Experience working with complex multi-part assemblies and tight-tolerance components.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tolerances, and production documentation control.
- Familiarity with Google Suite and general computer skills.
Nice to Have Skills:- Experience with rotary seals, O-rings, bearings, and rotating mechanical devices.
- Exposure to Arduino and/or Python programming.
- Background in product testing, validation, or HALT testing.
- Knowledge of ISO, CE, UL, IEC certifications.
- Experience with materials selection and chemistry related to material interactions.
- Machining skills (lathes, mills).
- Basic electrical engineering knowledge.
Preferred Education and Experience:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 0-4 years of professional experience in mechanical design and development.

- Willingness to collaborate closely with manufacturing and vendor partners.
