A growing division of a large, established heavy mobile equipment manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, implement, and improve factory processes. Serving as the link between design engineering and the production floor, this role provides the manufacturing expertise needed to bring new products into production and manage processing changes to existing products. The position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and is responsible for maintaining production capability, improving quality, reducing cost, improving safety, and maximizing throughput.
Schedule: Full-time, with a flexible 4-day compressed schedule available (9-hour days Monday through Thursday, 4 hours on Friday).
Compensation: $75,000 to $95,000 per year, based on experience, plus bonus eligibility.
What You\'ll Do:
The Manufacturing Engineer plans, supports, and leads the introduction of new products to the manufacturing floor, managing integration into existing lines with attention to line balance, pFMEA, and line efficiency. This includes developing Operation Method Standards and applying Lean concepts and continuous improvement methods to reduce waste within manufacturing processes.
The role troubleshoots production line problems and leads initiatives that mitigate risk, maintain ISO compliance, and reduce costs. The Manufacturing Engineer also leads design initiatives within the manufacturing process, including line and cell layout, tooling, and part flow, supports capital equipment justification, and works to advance safety and ergonomic practices.
Required Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering
- 1 to 6 years of experience in manufacturing engineering (candidates with under 3 years of experience should have a 3.0+ GPA)
- Proficient computer skills including CAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Creo or Pro-E CAD software
- Experience with production line layout
Compensation and Benefits:
