Job Description:
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
10 15 years of hands-on SAP BASIS administration experience supporting large-scale SAP landscapes.
Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA (2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023) environments.
Extensive expertise in SAP ECC 6.0 administration and support.
Hands-on experience with SAP BTP, Cloud Connector, destination management, and SAP integrations.
Strong knowledge of Embedded Fiori, SAP Gateway, Fiori Launchpad, and OData services.
Experience supporting SAP MDG landscapes.
Deep expertise in SAP HANA Database Administration, including backup/recovery, syste replication,
performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Experience with Other Database Microsoft SQL Server and SAP ASE (Sybase).
Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA migration and upgrade projects, including Brownfield, Greenfield, and
DMO/SUM-based conversions.
Strong understanding of upgrade and migration strategy, architecture planning, cutover, and go-live support.
Hands-on experience with SAP Kernel Upgrades, Support Package Stacks, EHP upgrades, and security patch
implementation.
Expertise in quarterly system refreshes, system copies, client copies, and landscape synchronization activities.
Strong experience in SAP ChaRM, Transport Management, and Release Management processes.
Experience with SAP Solution Manager, monitoring tools, and system health checks.
Excellent troubleshooting skills across SAP applications, database, operating system, and interface layers.
Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, security compliance, and performance optimization
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end SAP BASIS operations across SAP S/4HANA, ECC, MDG, Embedded Fiori, and SAP BTP landscapes.
Design and execute SAP technical architecture, upgrade, migration, and transformation strategies.
Manage SAP installations, upgrades, migrations, refreshes, patching, and maintenance activities.
Perform and govern quarterly system refreshes, client copies, and production landscape synchronization activities.
Lead technical conversion projects from ECC to S/4HANA and support modernization initiatives.
Administer and optimize SAP HANA, MS SQL Server, and SAP ASE (Sybase) databases.
Execute SAP Kernel upgrades, Support Package implementations, and security note deployments.
Manage SAP transport landscape and oversee release governance through SAP ChaRM.
Configure and support SAP BTP integrations, Cloud Connector, and Embedded Fiori environments.
Proactively monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and security.
Troubleshoot complex production issues and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Coordinate with infrastructure, cloud, network, security, functional, and business teams for project and support activities.
Develop technical standards, SOPs, operational runbooks, and governance frameworks.
Support audit, compliance, disaster recovery, and business continuity requirements.
Provide technical leadership during cutovers, upgrades, migrations, and critical incidents
Managerial Skills:
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Experience leading SAP BASIS support and project delivery teams.
Ability to mentor and guide junior consultants and administrators.
Excellent stakeholder, customer, and vendor management skills.
Strong project planning, effort estimation, and resource management experience.
Ability to manage multiple projects, releases, and production support activities simultaneously
