Role Overview
We are seeking a Citrix Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead assessments and modernization strategies for existing virtual application and desktop environments. This role involves evaluating current-state architecture, identifying opportunities for cloud adoption, and developing migration roadmaps. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor, leading architecture workshops and contributing to the growth of our End User Computing practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead assessments of existing Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.
- Evaluate current-state architecture, application delivery models, user personas, profile management, authentication, and operational processes.
- Identify opportunities for modernization, simplification, and cloud adoption.
- Develop migration roadmaps and transformation strategies for Citrix-to-AWS initiatives.
- Conduct stakeholder workshops and discovery sessions to document business, technical, and operational requirements.
- Create future-state architecture recommendations and migration plans.
- Partner with architects and infrastructure teams to design AWS WorkSpaces solutions.
- Design and maintain desktop provisioning and image management strategies.
- Collaborate with identity architects on Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID integration.
- Create operational runbooks and support procedures for readiness and transition.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to infrastructure and workplace leadership teams.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of End User Computing (EUC), desktop virtualization, or infrastructure experience.
- 5+ years supporting enterprise Citrix environments.
- Deep experience with Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops, Citrix Delivery Controllers, Citrix StoreFront, and Citrix ADC / NetScaler.
- Demonstrated experience with profile management, application virtualization, and delivery.
- Experience planning or executing desktop virtualization migrations.
- Strong understanding of Active Directory and enterprise identity services.
- Experience with desktop image engineering and endpoint management.
- Excellent client-facing communication and consulting skills.
- Experience leading workshops, discovery engagements, and architecture discussions.
