Mandatory Skills & Requirements

• Extensive enterprise experience designing, building, deploying, and supporting large-scale Citrix environments.

• Strong expertise in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), including on-premises architecture, upgrades, high availability, and troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with Citrix DaaS (Citrix Cloud), hybrid deployments, and identity integration.

• Proven experience migrating users and workloads between CVAD sites, including pilot migrations, phased rollouts, and rollback planning.

• Hands-on expertise with Provisioning Services (PVS) for RDSH and Machine Creation Services (MCS) for persistent VDI.

• Windows image engineering for Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022, including gold image lifecycle management.

• Experience configuring StoreFront, authentication, beacons, and Citrix Workspace app.

• Strong knowledge of Citrix Profile Management (UPM), FSLogix containers, file share permissions, and logon troubleshooting.

• Expertise in Group Policy (GPO), including loopback processing, filtering, performance tuning, and security baselines.

• Strong Active Directory/IAM knowledge, including OU design, delegation, least-privilege access, multi-domain/multi-forest environments, DNS, and Kerberos.

• VMware vSphere/vCenter experience, including templates, cloning, provisioning, and performance troubleshooting.

• Understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) SSO and enterprise identity integration with Citrix.

• Hands-on experience reversing and rebuilding PVS/MCS images for VMware Tools upgrades, operating system upgrades, and other image maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Citrix engineering delivery, from architecture and design through implementation and deployment.

• Design, build, upgrade, and maintain enterprise Citrix environments with high availability and scalability.

• Plan and execute CVAD site migrations, including pilot testing, migration waves, validation, and rollback procedures.

• Manage PVS/MCS provisioning, Windows gold images, and image lifecycle activities.

• Troubleshoot complex issues across Citrix, Windows, Active Directory, DNS, networking, and VMware.

• Optimize user profiles, authentication, logon performance, and virtual desktop delivery.

• Support incident resolution, production cutovers, root cause analysis (RCA), and service improvement initiatives.

• Develop technical documentation, runbooks, standards, and handover materials.

• Collaborate with Network, Security, AD/IAM, VMware, and application teams to deliver reliable end-user computing services.
