Summary

SCADA / PLC Controls Engineer

We are seeking a hands-on Controls Engineer with strong PLC programming experience to support and enhance a real-time monitoring and control environment.

This role focuses on designing, programming, commissioning, and supporting PLC systems that connect to a centralized SCADA platform. You will work on systems that monitor and control critical infrastructure in real time.

Responsibilities

Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLC systems in both development and field environments
Commission and support PLCs at remote sites
Support and expand SCADA system capabilities
Investigate and resolve complex technical issues with PLCs and related systems
Assist with system design, development, and ongoing support
Contribute to standardized communication between field devices and central systems
Support system performance, reliability, and capacity planning

Requirements

Required Skills:

Strong experience with PLC programming, commissioning, and support
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex controls issues
Willingness to travel to field locations approximately 20 percent

Preferred Experience:

Experience with SCADA systems
Experience with HMI systems
Familiarity with PLC platforms such as Emerson, Rockwell Allen Bradley, Siemens, or similar
Understanding of industrial communication protocols and networking
Experience supporting field devices and control systems
