The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Cloud Security Consultant to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you\'ll work closely with customers to implement, automate, and manage AWS solutions to protect customer assets, enable customer security teams to operate more effectively, and ensure customers don?t accept unnecessary risk.
Possessing a deep understanding of AWS products and services, as a Cloud Security Consultant you will be proficient in architecting complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer. You?ll work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current security capabilities, and develop and implement optimized security controls in AWS. As trusted advisors to our customers, providing guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions, you will be responsible for executing implementation, ensuring adherence to best practices, and managing customer security risks throughout the project.
The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work together with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives. Our team provides assistance through a collection of offerings which help customers achieve specific outcomes related to enterprise cloud adoption. We also deliver focused guidance through our global specialty practices, which cover a variety of solutions, technologies, and industries.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience
- Knowledge of the primary aws services (ec2, elb, rds, route53 & s3)
- Bachelor\'s degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or other related field
- 3+ years of any combination of the following: application security frameworks, identity and access controls, incident response, mobile security, cloud computing and security, AI security, threat intelligence, and penetration testing experience
- 1+ years in automating security operations including scripting and automation to build scalable and secure environments, automating security assessments and remediation workflows, and implementing security policies as code
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- degree in advanced technology, or AWS Professional level certification
- Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards including HIPAA and GDPR
- Experience in automation through devops scripting (e.g. shell, python, ruby, powershell)
- AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional, Certified Security Specialty) preferred
- Implementation experience with enterprise security solutions (e.g., WAF, IPS, Anti-DDOS, SIEM)
- Experience in the healthcare and life sciences industry, including familiarity with compliance and security frameworks (HIPAA, GxP) and clinical data standards (OMOP, CDISC, FHIR)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
