Description & RequirementsThe Role Bloomberg is looking for a Software Engineer to help build, modernize and operate the platforms that power our marketing websites and digital experiences . You will work on highly visible digital properties that connect Bloomberg's products, services and brand with audiences around the world.
This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving real business problems, taking ownership and delivering results. You'll work across our web ecosystem-from CMS platforms and frontend experiences to APIs, integrations, cloud infrastructure and developer tooling.
We're looking for engineers who are self-driven and comfortable taking ownership of problems that are not fully defined. You should be able to understand the desired outcome, ask the right questions, work with stakeholders and teammates to determine the right solution, and drive it through implementation and production.
You'll be part of a collaborative engineering team, so technical ability alone isn't enough. Strong communication, teamwork, curiosity and a willingness to help others succeed are essential.
Team Culture We're a new team that works closely with our partners in Product and Design to build thoughtful digital experiences. We like to experiment with new ideas, collaborate across disciplines and learn from each other as we shape how the team works.
Because the team is still growing, it's a great time to join-many of us are learning the space together, and you'll have an opportunity to help influence our engineering practices and culture from the start.
We also encourage participation in Bloomberg's broader employee communities and initiatives and value teammates who contribute beyond their immediate project work.
What Success Looks Like You'll become a trusted engineer who can take on a complex problem and drive it toward a successful outcome with increasing independence .
You'll deliver high-quality software, contribute to the modernization of Bloomberg's marketing technology ecosystem and help establish engineering practices that make the entire team more effective.
Over time, your impact will extend beyond your individual contributions: you'll improve the systems around you, make your teammates more effective, identify opportunities before they become explicit requirements and use modern engineering and AI tooling to continually increase the speed and quality with which the team delivers digital experiences.
