RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a Remote Senior Data Governance Analyst - Mortgage Servicing.
Responsibilities:
* Support data governance initiatives across complex mortgage servicing data and systems
* Partner with business and technical teams to define critical data elements, business terms, ownership, and data standards
* Work directly with data stewards and subject matter experts to understand how servicing data is created, used, and interpreted
* Analyze data across multiple source systems, data warehouses, and cloud environments to identify inconsistencies and improve data quality
* Help establish clear definitions and standards for servicing concepts, KPIs, business rules, and reporting metrics
* Facilitate discussions with senior stakeholders to resolve conflicting definitions and drive alignment across business functions
* Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, architects, Finance, Operations, and other teams on data initiatives
* Support data cataloging, lineage, documentation, and governance processes
* Perform SQL queries to research data, validate findings, and investigate data quality issues
* Proactively investigate data challenges and recommend solutions based on business impact
REQUIREMENTS:
* Hands-on knowledge and experience within mortgage servicing and the mortgage servicing lifecycle
* Experience in data governance, data management, business analysis, data conversion/migration, or related discipline
* Experience working with complex data environments involving multiple source systems and downstream data warehouses
* Experience defining business terms, critical data elements, KPIs, data ownership, or governance standards
* Strong understanding of mortgage servicing functions such as loan assumptions, bankruptcy, cashiering/payment processing, credit bureau reporting, default management, insurance and taxes, loss mitigation, and loan payoffs
* Knowledge of Snowflake, SQL Server, enterprise data warehouses, or comparable data platforms
* Strong SQL skills with the ability to query tables, validate information, and investigate data quality concerns
* Exposure to Collibra or another enterprise data catalog or governance platform
* Strong communication skills with the ability to lead conversations with experienced Data Engineers, mortgage servicing SMEs, data stewards, and senior leadership
* Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to investigate unfamiliar data, identify answers independently, and operate effectively in an evolving environment
* Ability to translate complex servicing data, status codes, and terminology into clear business definitions and meaningful data standards
* Experience with data quality processes or internally developed data quality rules is preferred
* Power BI exposure is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
