Project Engineer – Data Center Construction
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $180-$240K, depending on data center experience
Work Arrangement: Onsite

Innovar Group is seeking Project Engineers to support large-scale hyperscale data center construction projects in the Oklahoma City area. These are high-profile, fast-paced builds supporting a leading global technology company.
This role will work closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, design teams, and owner representatives to coordinate project documentation, track construction activities, and support successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities

Support project management and field leadership throughout the construction lifecycle.

Manage RFIs, submittals, drawings, specifications, and project documentation.

Assist with subcontractor coordination, procurement tracking, and schedule updates.

Review construction documents and identify scope conflicts or coordination concerns.

Track change documentation, material deliveries, inspections, and project milestones.

Participate in owner, contractor, and subcontractor meetings.

Support quality control, safety, commissioning, punch-list, and closeout activities.

Maintain accurate project records and follow up on outstanding action items.

Help ensure work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and project standards.
Required Qualifications

Previous construction experience on a large-scale hyperscale data center campus for a Magnificent 7 technology company is required.

2+ years of construction experience in a Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or similar role.

Direct experience supporting a major data center build with complex schedules, extensive trade coordination, and strict safety and quality requirements.

Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, drawings, specifications, and construction management systems.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

Experience supporting mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, or commissioning scopes.

Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar platforms.
