Entry-Level Security Installation TechnicianOverviewWe are seeking motivated, customer-focused individuals interested in starting a career in the security and low-voltage technology industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys hands-on work, and wants to learn a skilled trade. No direct experience with security systems, cameras, alarm systems, or cabling is required. Comprehensive training will be provided.
Successful candidates often come from backgrounds such as construction, warehouse operations, automotive work, residential installations, maintenance, customer service, technical support, military service, or other skilled trades.
What You'll DoAfter completing training, you will:
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and program residential security systems
- Support burglar alarm, CCTV, video surveillance, and access control system installations
- Upgrade and convert older security systems to newer technology
- Install and service door contacts, window sensors, glass-break detectors, and smoke detectors
- Diagnose and resolve equipment or signal-related issues
- Test and verify equipment functionality and communication signals
- Educate customers on how to use their systems and connected devices
- Answer customer questions and provide exceptional service throughout the installation process
- Complete required job documentation accurately
- Track and document materials and parts used during installations
- Maintain organized vehicle inventory and equipment
- Work directly with homeowners to ensure a positive customer experience
- Meet installation quality and performance standards
