Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Accountant to support the revenue accounting function across multiple business units. This contract position will be responsible for revenue recognition, month-end close activities, and partnering with cross-functional teams to support new product launches, system testing, and revenue-related initiatives.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, hands-on Zuora experience, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with strict month-end deadlines.

Responsibilities:

Perform revenue accounting activities for multiple business units.
Prepare and maintain revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities with a focus on timely and accurate revenue reporting.
Utilize Zuora Billing to support billing operations, revenue transactions, and accounting processes.
Partner with business stakeholders to support new product offerings, pricing changes, and revenue recognition requirements.
Participate in system testing and validation to ensure accurate accounting treatment of new products and enhancements.
Investigate and resolve revenue accounting discrepancies and respond to business partner inquiries.
Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and other cross-functional teams on revenue-related projects and process improvements.
Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable revenue recognition standards.
Assist with ad hoc reporting, analyses, and special projects as assigned.

Experience:

3+ years of revenue accounting experience, including month-end close and revenue recognition.
Hands-on experience with Zuora Billing is REQUIRED.
Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition.
Strong understanding of revenue accounting and the end-to-end revenue cycle.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables (additional advanced functions are a plus).
Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to resolve revenue and accounting-related issues.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work overtime during month-end close periods as needed.

Education:

Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
