Job Description
Team: This M-365 Engineer will work cross functionally with various employees, stakeholders, departments, and business entities globally. They will primarily interact with 5 M-365 Engineers although the team is comprised of 23 globally under this Manager.
The M-365 Engineer will focus primarily on Entra ID. They will be supporting the sale of a portion of the company. In addition to this sell the organization purchased another company. They will be added an additional 1,700 employees to their organization. They are continuing to merge and acquire other organizations. Hence the need for an EntraID Engineer.
They will act as a subject matter expert within the Microsoft environment. The primary driver for this role is to lead the onboarding of Commvault, Entra ID backup, and M-365 backup. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with deep technical expertise in Entra ID and M-365, capable of identifying issues and driving solutions in a large-scale enterprise environment.
Lead the technical onboarding and integration of Commvault for Entra ID and M-365 backups.
Serve as the primary technical resource for M-365 and Entra ID, with a strong focus on service principles, SSO applications, and enterprise applications.
Analyze the current Microsoft environment to identify and remediate issues, particularly with group policies and permissions.
Develop and implement PowerShell scripts from scratch to automate and manage the M-365 environment.
Provide support for potential M&A activities, including divestitures.
Collaborate with and provide expert guidance to the existing infrastructure team.
Participate in occasional, scheduled after-hours work for project deployments and maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience as an M-365 Engineer in a large enterprise environment (10,000+ users).
Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting is required; the candidate must be able to write scripts from scratch without relying on existing libraries.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, including service principles, enterprise applications, and identity management.
Experience with troubleshooting, maintaining, and monitoring a complex M-365 environment.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of the M-365/Entra ID landscape.

This is a Contract position based out of Raleigh, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.50 - $66.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
