Location: Raymond, OH
Pay: $36.00 - $40.30 per hour
We are seeking an
Automotive Test Technician to support vehicle testing, validation, and development activities in a fast-paced automotive environment. This role is ideal for candidates with strong mechanical skills, hands-on testing experience, and a passion for automotive technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle, chassis dynamometer (dyno), and component testing.
- Install and maintain test equipment, sensors, and instrumentation.
- Collect, monitor, and analyze test data to support engineering and development programs.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and test system issues.
- Document test results and communicate findings to engineering teams.
- Support prototype vehicle testing, validation activities, and performance evaluations.
- Follow all safety, quality, and testing procedures.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Automotive Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in automotive testing, vehicle validation, dyno operations, R&D, prototype development, or related technical roles.
- Strong automotive mechanical knowledge.
- Experience with data acquisition and test systems.
- Dyno experience preferred.
- Background in electrical systems, instrumentation, or diagnostics is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible and adaptable in a changing test environment.
Physical Requirements
- Regular standing, walking, bending, crouching, reaching, and stooping.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate vehicles.
