Role Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer – Anaplan Financial Planning to join its Anaplan Center of Excellence (CoE). In this role, you will design, develop, implement, and support enterprise-scale planning solutions using the Anaplan platform. You will work closely with FP&A and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, and financial reporting solutions while ensuring optimal model performance, governance, and system integrations.
Key Responsibilities
Anaplan Solution Development
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable Anaplan models for budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, and financial reporting.
- Build and maintain modules, lists, hierarchies, line items, actions, processes, workflows, dashboards, and UX pages.
- Apply Anaplan best practices including DISCO, PLANS, and Planual methodologies.
Solution Architecture
- Design scalable, maintainable, and high-performing enterprise Anaplan solutions.
- Define model architecture, security frameworks, integration patterns, and data flows.
- Identify opportunities to optimize model performance and workspace utilization.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Partner with FP&A teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop financial planning models supporting:
- Budgeting
- Forecasting
- P&L
- Balance Sheet
- Cash Flow
- Workforce Planning
- Support annual planning cycles, quarterly forecasts, scenario modeling, and management reporting.
Integrations
- Develop and maintain integrations between Anaplan and enterprise applications including ERP, HRIS, CRM, and Data Warehouse platforms.
- Support Data Hub architecture, APIs, CloudWorks, and ETL processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration and data synchronization issues.
Application Lifecycle Management
- Manage Development, Test, and Production environments using ALM.
- Utilize Revision Tags and deployment best practices.
- Support release management, change control, and production deployments.
Performance Optimization
- Monitor model health, workspace capacity, and system performance.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement optimization strategies.
- Ensure scalability and operational efficiency of Anaplan solutions.
Security & Governance
- Implement role-based security, selective access, and dynamic cell access.
- Maintain governance, compliance, auditability, and operational controls.
- Support enterprise data governance standards.
Leadership
- Mentor junior Anaplan developers and provide technical guidance.
- Participate in solution architecture discussions, design reviews, and code reviews.
- Promote Anaplan best practices across the Center of Excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on Anaplan implementation experience.
- Certified Master Anaplanner designation (Required).
- Professional Model Builder Certification.
- Experience designing and developing enterprise planning solutions in Anaplan.

- Professional Solution Architect Certification.
- Experience with:

- Data Hub architecture
- Experience with Power BI, SQL, Python, or ETL technologies.
- Experience supporting large-scale global Anaplan implementations.
- Experience working in SaaS or technology environments.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
