Summary

Title: Big Data Cloud Operations-100% Remote- Over Night Shift

Location: Rockville, MD or Tysons, VA (100% Remote)

Contract: 6+ Months Contract with extension

Night shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM

Required only Local who are in DC/VA/MD and needs to take Assessment and for F2F interview

Required:

We really need Operations supports and these skillsets are keyLinux Administration, Python scripting, AWS, Splunk Queries/Dashboard, Batch Scheduling tools like (JAMS, Control-M, and the Likes) and Jenkins/GitLab

Role Overview

Technical operations-focused role supporting big data workloads
This is NOT a DevOps position — do not submit DevOps candidates
Hands-on operations role, not a lead or management position
Candidate will support and maintain environments rather than make architectural changes
Strong team-player mentality required; will work closely with multiple teams

Technical Environment

Heavy AWS environment with some on-prem infrastructure
Experience with AWS services required, including EMR and EC2
Experience with job scheduling and batch processing tools
Some Python scripting experience needed
Jenkins experience required
Linux and Windows administration experience required
Some Splunk experience preferred, specifically running queries
Smaller dataset experience is acceptable
