JOB DETAILS:
• 10+ years in IT with strong, hands-on Java background
• Core Java, Spring / Spring Boot, Microservices architecture
• REST API design and integration patterns
• AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform Cloud Experience
• Solid understanding of application security, performance tuning, and scalability for enterprise systems
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Microservices, and REST APIs.
Preferred / Additional Skills
• Experience designing high-throughput and low-latency systems.
• Experience with Single-Page Application (SPA) architecture.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous processing, caching, load balancing, and performance optimization.
• Experience developing responsive, cross-browser-compatible web applications.
• AWS cloud-native development with PostgreSQL.
• Strong knowledge of OpenShift and Docker.
• Experience with Jenkins, Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Nexus, Maven, SonarQube, Fortify, and UrbanCode Deploy.
• Experience with REST, SOAP, XML, JAXP, JAXB, JAX-WS, Axis, Jersey, JSON, and CXF.
• Experience with OAuth2/JWT and web application security.
• Strong knowledge of JPA, Hibernate, Spring JDBC, Spring Security, Spring Batch, DB2, Tomcat, and WebSphere.
• Experience addressing SonarQube bugs, vulnerabilities, security hotspots, and technical debt.
• Experience with application performance tuning, CPU/memory optimization, scalability, and high-volume systems.
Nice-to-Have Skills
• Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture.
• Kafka producers, consumers, topics, partitions, consumer groups, Kafka Connect, and Kafka Streams.
• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and applying AI concepts to enterprise application architecture.
• Section 508 implementation experience.
• Technical white papers and system design documentation.
• Previous experience supporting federal or state government IT projects.
• Experience with low-code platforms such as ServiceNow, Pega, or Microsoft Power Platform.
