Role: Healthcare Senior Backend Engineer (Python,Deployments)
Location: REMOTE
Employment Type: Contract W2 (6 Months)
Required Skills:
Strong backend engineering fundamentals APIs, data pipelines, distributed systems.
Strong backend development experience using Python and TypeScript to build scalable, high-performance applications.
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and Nix for infrastructure, development, and deployment automation.
Experience working with FHIR and HL7 standards to develop and integrate healthcare interoperability solutions.
Experience integrating with enterprise systems, ideally in healthcare (payer, EHR, claims).
- Comfort working directly with customers and translating ambiguous requirements into clean technical solutions.
Experience with data quality challenges deduplication, schema mapping, reconciliation across multiple sources.
Ability to work autonomously from detailed technical specs while flagging blockers and ambiguity early.
Responsibilities:
Designing and building integrations, APIs, and data pipelines that connect our platform to customer systems of record EHRs, claims platforms, care management systems).
Working directly with US enterprise healthcare customers to understand their architecture, scope integration requirements, and translate them into technical specs.
Building and maintaining FHIR, HL7, and custom API integrations with payer and health plan systems.
Debugging data quality issues conflicting sources of truth, deduplication, schema mismatches, and edge cases specific to healthcare data.
Owning UAT testing end-to-end, working with customer IT teams to validate data flows before go-live.
