Job Description: Java Developer / Lead / Architect

Location: Remote

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer / Lead / Architect to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and related technologies. Depending on the role level, the candidate will contribute to application development, lead technical teams, or define architecture for scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, cloud platforms, and modern software development practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications.
Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Design scalable, secure, and high-performing application architectures.
Lead technical design discussions and conduct code reviews (Lead/Architect roles).
Integrate applications with databases, third-party systems, and cloud services.
Troubleshoot application issues and optimize performance.
Implement secure coding standards and best practices.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance (Lead/Architect roles).
Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and design specifications.

Required Qualifications

Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8/11/17 or later).
Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Data.
Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis).
Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, and application security best practices.
Java certification (Oracle Certified Professional) is a plus.
