Position: Oracle MySQL Database Architect
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Remote -USA
Job Summary:
Looking for a hands-on Oracle MySQL Database Architect with strong experience in database architecture, performance tuning, high availability, and production database environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable MySQL database architectures.
- Provide hands-on expertise in MySQL installation, configuration, upgrades, and migrations.
- Perform database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Design and manage HA, replication, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Work with development and infrastructure teams on database design and best practices.
- Monitor database health, capacity, security, and availability.
- Troubleshoot complex production database issues.
Required Skills:
- 12+ years of experience with MySQL Database Administration/Architecture.
- Strong hands-on experience with MySQL, SQL, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience with MySQL Replication, InnoDB, HA/DR, backup & recovery.
- Experience with database migration and upgrade projects.
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix environments.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
