Project Manager – Child Support System Modernization (Implementation PM)
Location: Wisconsin (Remote with potential onsite requirements)
Duration: 6 Months+
Contract: W2 / C2C
Job Description: The State of Wisconsin DCF is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support its Child Support Modernization initiative. The selected candidate will lead implementation planning, organizational readiness, testing, training, and phased deployment of a modernized Child Support Case Management System.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing large-scale government system implementations, stakeholder coordination, organizational change management, and go-live readiness.
Required Skills:
11+ years of Project Management experience.
Experience leading large-scale IT system implementations and modernization projects.
Experience managing UAT, pilot implementations, and phased regional rollouts.
Strong experience of organizational change management (OCM).
Experience with stakeholder management, vendor coordination, and communication plans.
Experience managing go-live readiness, cutover, deployment, and post-implementation support.
Experience coordinating training, user adoption, and business readiness.
Strong project planning, risk management, and issue resolution skills.
PMP certification preferred.
State Government or Child Support / Human Services domain experience preferred.
Important Requirements:
Must currently reside in Wisconsin or be willing to relocate to Wisconsin within 30 days at own expense.
Must be comfortable with a 7-year background check and fingerprinting, if required.
Three professional references required, including one supervisor.
