SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Developer — Contractor
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Developer - Contractor with strong hands-on expertise in SAC data modeling, story/dashboard development, planning functionality, and security. The contractor will work closely with business, FP&A, data, and technology teams to design and deliver scalable, secure, and user-friendly SAC solutions.
The ideal candidate can operate independently, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and contribute across the full development lifecycle from design and development through testing, deployment, and production support.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and maintain SAC analytical and planning models, including dimensions, hierarchies, calculations, versions, data actions, and related planning functionality.
- Develop intuitive and high-performing SAC Stories, dashboards, and applications, applying strong visualization, navigation, usability, and design principles.
- Design and administer SAC security, including roles, teams, model permissions, Data Access Controls (DACs), row-level security, and user access.
- Integrate SAC with SAP and non-SAP data sources and troubleshoot data, model, story, security, integration, and performance issues.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, develop technical solutions, perform testing and deployment, document solutions, and provide production support.
Required Skills
· Strong hands-on experience with SAP Analytics Cloud, particularly data modeling, story development, dashboards, and planning applications.
- Extensive experience with SAC security, including roles, teams, permissions, Data Access Controls, row-level security, and role-based access design.
- Strong experience designing scalable SAC models, calculations, hierarchies, measures, and planning functionality such as data actions and multi-actions.
- Experience integrating SAC with technologies such as SAP S/4HANA, Workday, Snowflake, Google Cloud Platform or other enterprise data sources as well as flat files.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication skills, with the ability to work independently and deliver solutions.
Preferred Skills
· Experience supporting FP&A and financial planning use cases, including P&L, workforce/headcount, CapEx, revenue, expense, and management reporting.
- Experience implementing SAC in environments requiring SOX controls, segregation of duties, least-privilege access, security reviews, and audit support.
- Experience with SAC scripting/JavaScript, Analytics Designer, advanced formulas, allocations, calendar processes, and complex planning solutions.
- Experience with SAC Excel Add-In and performance tuning.
- Experience with S/4 CDS Views and their integration with SAC.
- Experience working on enterprise-scale implementations involving multiple business units, geographical regions, and complex organizational hierarchies.
