Job Summary
We are seeking a SAP Architect & Data Migration Lead to oversee regional SAP deployments across the Americas and ensure alignment with global SAP S/4HANA templates. This role will focus on technical coordination, architectural guidance, governance, and the successful execution of regional data migration strategies.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in SAP environments, strong knowledge of enterprise architecture and data migration, and the ability to collaborate effectively with global, regional, and functional stakeholders. Experience within the automotive sector is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
• Architectural Support
o Provide architectural guidance for SAP applications, integrations, and related technologies across multiple functional areas.
o Ensure regional solutions align with global SAP S/4HANA templates and enterprise architecture standards.
o Support the design and evaluation of scalable, integrated, and sustainable SAP solutions.
• Data Migration Leadership
o Lead and execute regional data migration activities across the Americas.
o Develop and manage migration plans, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.
o Coordinate data extraction, cleansing, transformation, validation, and loading activities.
o Ensure migration activities follow Global Data Factory guidelines and established quality standards.
o Identify and resolve data-related risks and issues throughout the deployment lifecycle.
• Technical Advisory
o Advise business and IT leadership on deployment approaches, technical feasibility, risks, and dependencies.
o Evaluate regional requirements and recommend solutions that balance business needs with global standards.
o Provide technical input into project planning, solution design, testing, cutover, and stabilization activities.
• Standards and Governance
o Promote the adoption of SAP best practices across regional deployments.
o Ensure adherence to SAP governance, architecture standards, and global implementation methodologies.
o Maintain “clean core” principles by minimizing unnecessary customizations and ensuring appropriate use of standard SAP functionality.
o Monitor solution compliance and support the resolution of architectural or governance exceptions.
• Stakeholder Collaboration
o Partner with global template owners, regional IT teams, functional leaders, data teams, system integrators, and business stakeholders.
o Facilitate communication between technical and functional teams to ensure alignment and timely decision-making.
o Provide clear status updates, technical recommendations, and escalation support to leadership.
Required Qualifications
• 12+ years of experience in IT, enterprise applications, SAP, or a related technology discipline.
• Significant experience working in SAP environments, including SAP S/4HANA or large-scale SAP implementations.
• Experience supporting SAP architecture, integrations, deployments, or regional rollouts.
• Proven experience leading or managing data migration activities.
• Understanding of data migration processes, including data extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
• Experience working with global templates, governance frameworks, and standardized deployment models.
• Knowledge of SAP best practices and clean core principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively across global, regional, and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in the automotive industry or a related manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Global Data Factory methodologies or similar enterprise data governance programs.
• Familiarity with SAP integration technologies and enterprise application landscapes.
• Experience supporting SAP program deployments across multiple countries or regions.
• Knowledge of SAP Activate or comparable implementation methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
