Role Summary
Owns the Operations workstream’s SAP business processes globally for the company manufacturing/distribution operations. Responsible for stabilizing existing processes, troubleshooting/root-causing issues, supporting system enhancements, routing and resolving IT tickets, and (sometimes) updating process documentation. NOT a hands-on-keyboard SAP config role — this is a process-owner/SME role with light people/project coordination.
Must-Haves
3–5 years of SAP experience — this is the real bar
SAP ECC experience specifically — We runs the OLDER SAP version, not S/4HANA. This is the #1 sourcing challenge; most recent candidates only have S/4HANA.
Manufacturing/distribution environment background — needs to understand plant/warehouse operations, not just corporate SAP use
Operations workstream fluency — process areas like material receiving into a warehouse, and similar step-by-step operational SAP processes
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with Paperless (labor/inventory tracking system — tracks plant employees clocking on/off jobs, ties to inventory/efficiency)
Familiarity with a system referred to as “Atlas”
Prior Kaizen event participation or process-improvement facilitation experience
