Senior SME - .NET Application Modernization
Location: USA, Remote
Job Description Summary
Seeking a hands-on 12+Years Technical SME with strong expertise in .NET application development,
application modernization, containerization, and Windows modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate
must be actively involved in design, development, troubleshooting, migration, and modernization activities rather
than serving solely in an architect or managerial capacity.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and execute application modernization initiatives for legacy .NET applications.
• Perform hands-on development using C#, VB.NET, .NET Framework, and .NET Core/.NET.
• Design and implement database solutions using MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Drive containerization efforts using Docker/Kubernetes and modern deployment practices.
• Assess legacy Windows-based applications and define modernization and migration strategies.
• Troubleshoot complex production, performance, and application issues.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to drive technical decisions.
• Provide technical leadership while remaining actively involved in coding, reviews, deployments, and
solution implementation.
Mandatory Skills
• Strong hands-on experience in .NET (C#, VB.NET)
• Strong hands-on experience in MS SQL Server
• Strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience with Containers (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Proven experience in Application Modernization / ATX Windows Modernization
• Strong Stakeholder Management and customer-facing experience
