Job Title: Cloud Security Operations (SecOps) Engineer

Location: 100% Remote

Type: Contract (c2c or w2)

Job description:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Cloud Security Operations (SecOps) Engineer to join our security team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms, strong knowledge of cloud-native security tools, and a deep understanding of incident detection and response in cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to security events and incidents across AWS and Azure environments.
Implement and manage cloud-native security services such as:
AWS: GuardDuty, Security Hub, Macie, CloudTrail, IAM, Config
Azure: Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Security Center, Azure Policy
Perform threat hunting and vulnerability assessments in cloud environments.
Automate security operations tasks using scripts and tools (Python, PowerShell, etc.).
Collaborate with DevOps to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).
Manage and enforce cloud security policies and best practices.
Maintain and tune SIEM platforms (Splunk, Sentinel, etc.) and SOAR tools.
Participate in incident response planning, tabletop exercises, and postmortem reviews.
Ensure compliance with standards.
Provide guidance on secure cloud architecture and remediation strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Deep hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
Familiarity with cloud-native and third-party security tools.
Strong understanding of IAM, networking, logging, and encryption in cloud.
Experience with incident response, forensic analysis, and threat intelligence.
Experience with SIEM/SOAR systems.
