About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Platform / Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, secure, and optimize cloud infrastructure across modern cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) and a solid understanding of cloud security, infrastructure automation, networking, and DevOps practices.
The successful candidate will help build secure, scalable, highly available cloud platforms while implementing security best practices, monitoring, governance, and automation.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Implement and maintain cloud security controls, policies, and governance frameworks.
Configure and manage IAM, RBAC, encryption, key management, network security, firewalls, and security groups.
Develop and maintain secure cloud architectures aligned with industry best practices.
Implement infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM/Bicep.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with integrated security controls.
Monitor cloud environments for security threats, vulnerabilities, compliance issues, and performance concerns.
Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, and security incident response capabilities.
Collaborate with DevOps, infrastructure, application development, and security teams.
Perform cloud security assessments and identify opportunities to strengthen infrastructure security.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, compliance, and security processes.
Support cloud migration, modernization, and optimization initiatives.
Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure, networking, and security issues.
Maintain documentation for cloud architecture, security controls, configurations, and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications
5–7+ years of professional experience in cloud engineering, cloud security, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or a closely related field.
Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform:
Active professional cloud certification required in at least one of the following:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect / Security Specialty / DevOps Engineer
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / Azure Solutions Architect / Azure Security Engineer
Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect / Cloud Security Engineer / Cloud DevOps Engineer
Strong knowledge of cloud security architecture and best practices.
Experience with IAM, RBAC, encryption, secrets management, networking, VPNs, firewalls, and security controls.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably Terraform.
Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, Git, containers, and Kubernetes.
Strong understanding of cloud networking, including VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, load balancing, DNS, and private connectivity.
Experience with cloud monitoring and logging platforms.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.
Knowledge of Kubernetes security and container security.
Experience with SIEM, vulnerability management, CSPM, and cloud-native security tools.
Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as NIST, CIS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, or FedRAMP.
Experience implementing DevSecOps practices.
Scripting experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
Experience with security automation and policy-as-code.
Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, Security+, or equivalent are a plus.
