Location: Remote LTAM
Duration: 12+ month contract
Compensation: $25.00 - $28.00/hr
Senior Akamai Platform Engineer
Position OverviewOur client is seeking a Senior Akamai Platform Engineer to join its Reliability Engineering and Platform Engineering organization supporting the critical edge infrastructure behind homedepot.com and other enterprise digital services. Akamai serves as a critical ingress point for internet traffic accessing services and is a key dependency across major customer-facing applications and business initiatives. The environment includes 400+ CDN properties and requires a high level of reliability, security, performance, and operational discipline.
This is a highly hands-on engineering role within a fast-moving production environment. The engineer will work extensively across Akamai CDN, Property Manager, Edge DNS, caching, origin routing, traffic management, WAF, bot management, and edge technologies. The successful candidate must be capable of operating independently and owning Akamai solutions from initial requirements through configuration, testing, change approval, implementation, validation, and production support.
This is not a ticket-taking or junior administration position. We are seeking an experienced Akamai engineer who can immediately contribute within a large-scale, business-critical environment.
Platform EnvironmentThe Akamai platform sits at a critical point within Our client digital architecture and supports traffic flowing into customer-facing services.
