Lead Application Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise transportation software applications and integrations. This role will lead development efforts across web applications, APIs, ETL processes, reporting solutions, and database platforms while ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability. The position collaborates closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions, support operational efficiency, and provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in .NET technologies, database development, application integrations, and transportation-related systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support transportation software applications and integrations.
- Develop and maintain ASP.NET applications, APIs, ETL processes, and database solutions.
- Perform data integration, transformation, and quality assurance across multiple data sources.
- Support SSIS/SSRS reporting and workflow automation initiatives.
- Manage application migrations, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support activities.
- Integrate transportation data, geocoding services, and real-time data updates.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver scalable solutions and provide knowledge transfer.
- Develop and optimize database solutions across SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake environments.
- Ensure application reliability, maintainability, and adherence to development best practices.
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience developing complex .NET web applications using ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, and C#
- 4+ years of SQL Server and Oracle database development
- 2+ years of PostgreSQL experience
- 1+ year of Snowflake data querying experience
- 3+ years using Visual Studio, Postman, and ArcGIS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years supporting transportation applications such as MapNet, FASTER, or Gasboy/EKOS
Preferred (Optional):
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale application modernization initiatives
- Experience with reporting, workflow automation, and data integration projects
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies
- Experience mentoring developers and leading technical initiatives

Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $75 - $85 / per hour, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered.
