Job Summary

The State of Wisconsin is seeking a senior Cloud Architect/DevSecOps Security Architect to serve as a trusted technical advisor to the CISO while leading the implementation of an AI-driven cybersecurity and vulnerability remediation program. This role combines executive-level advisory responsibilities with hands-on cloud architecture, DevSecOps engineering, security automation, and knowledge transfer.

Required Skills

Proven experience advising CISOs, CIOs, or executive leadership in large enterprise or government environments.
Strong Cloud Architecture and DevSecOps engineering experience.
Expertise implementing security controls, vulnerability management (SI-2), remediation workflows, and risk governance.
Hands-on experience with:

Google SecOps
Google Threat Intelligence / VirusTotal
Mandiant ASM
Tenable.io
Microsoft Azure Arc
GitHub & GitHub Advanced Security
Ansible Tower
Gemini Government / Anthropic AI security frameworks

Experience mentoring engineering teams and driving knowledge transfer.
Experience building security automation, AI-assisted remediation, and CI/CD security pipelines.

Preferred Skills

Public sector or government environment experience.
Experience across Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Splunk.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a strategic technical advisor to the State CISO.
Lead implementation of the SI-2 Flaw Remediation Standard.
Build AI-powered security automation and DevSecOps pipelines.
Integrate enterprise security platforms (Tenable, Mandiant, Azure Arc, Splunk, Google SecOps).
Develop automated vulnerability remediation, exception management, and governance workflows.
Mentor internal security teams through a "teach-by-doing" approach.

Work Authorization / Location

Must be a Wisconsin resident
Remote with only 1–2 onsite visits during the engagement.
