Summary

Role: Solution Architect - FHIR
Location: Remote
Duration: 6+months

Primary Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end Solution Architecture for healthcare platforms, ensuring alignment with Optum Health Enterprise Architecture standards, technology strategy, and governance.
Provide expert Technology Consultation, Application Portfolio Management, and Vendor Management to optimize technology investments.
Design, integrate, and maintain complex systems utilizing core healthcare standards and protocols, including HL7, FHIR, EDI, DICOM, RIS / PACS, Master Data Management (MDM), Electronic Health Record Systems (Epic is a plus), and Interface Engines.
Evaluate AI tools and products for enterprise utilization to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and drive continuous improvement.
Evaluate emerging trends to inform solution design and strategic innovation.
Design, develop, and deploy strategic solutions, including those that are AI-powered, to address complex business challenges with emphasis on responsible use of data and AI.
Establish architectural blueprints, reference models, technology landscapes, and transition roadmaps to guide development and capabilities across the ecosystem.
Partner with product owners, business analysts, and engineering leads to govern design patterns and promote technical excellence.

Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of equivalent technology experience in lieu of a degree
