Summary

Job Summary

We are seeking a Windows Image Engineer to build, optimize, secure, and maintain approximately 30 custom Windows golden images for Omnissa Horizon Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments running on AWS.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Windows image engineering, VDI optimization, application packaging, PowerShell automation, and image lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain custom Windows golden images for multiple user personas.
Optimize Windows images for VDI performance.
Package and deploy enterprise applications.
Configure application layering using App Volumes and DEM.
Apply security hardening using CIS/STIG benchmarks.
Automate image creation and validation using PowerShell.
Publish and maintain Horizon Instant Clone images.
Perform structured QA testing and validation.
Document image configurations, software inventories, and patch levels.
Establish image patching and lifecycle management processes.

Required Skills

3+ years of Windows image engineering.
Windows image creation using:
- MDT
- SCCM / MECM
- Sysprep
Omnissa OS Optimization Tool (OSOT).
Citrix Optimizer.
Application Packaging:
- MSI
- MSIX
- App-V
- Omnissa App Volumes
Windows Group Policy (GPO).
CIS/STIG image hardening.
PowerShell scripting.
Horizon Instant Clone image management.
Image validation and testing.
Windows 10/11 Enterprise.
Windows Server 2019/2022.

Preferred Skills

Packer.
WSUS.
FSLogix.
Omnissa DEM.
Automated image pipelines.

Preferred Certifications

Omnissa VCP-DTM
AWS Solutions Architect
Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
CompTIA Security+

Deliverables

Production-ready Omnissa Horizon environment on AWS.
Approximately 30 optimized and hardened Windows golden images.
Operational runbooks and image lifecycle documentation.
