Precision is hiring a Senior IT Systems Engineer for a contract position with our Fortune 100 client. This remote role supports enterprise application environments across development, quality assurance, and production. You will build and manage Windows Servers, monitor resources, assign development slots, support integrations, and troubleshoot infrastructure issues. You will work with developers, application programmers, business teams, and other internal customers to resolve environment problems. The role also supports server upgrades and Windows operating system improvements. This position is on a team that supports Duck Creek applications. Having previous experience supporting Duck Creek applications at the server level is helpful but not required.
This is a fully remote, long-term contract opportunity. Candidates must live and work within the 48 contiguous states and be available during Eastern Time business hours and participate in video meetings. Essential Skills:
- Manage Windows Server environments across development, quality assurance, and production.
- Build and configure Windows Servers in large enterprise environments.
- Administer Windows Services, server roles, and features.
- Manage folder shares, share permissions, ACLs, and security permissions.
- Administer IIS and monitor server resources.
- Understand network pools, routing protocols, and routing standards.
- Demonstrate experience rolling out server hardware.
Plusses:
- Support Duck Creek application environments from a systems engineering perspective.
- Use Microsoft Visio for technical documentation.
- Implement monthly Windows Server updates and patching.
- Perform scheduled server maintenance activities.
