Job Title: Senior Windows Systems Administrator

Role Overview:
As a Senior Windows Systems Administrator with IIS and scripting expertise, you will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing Windows server environments with a focus on Microsoft SQL, IIS, and automation through scripting. This role also includes managing file transfer processes, performing network connectivity troubleshooting, and contributing to technical implementations. Experience with database systems (Microsoft SQL, IBM Db2) and monitoring tools like Splunk and Dynatrace is preferred, especially in the context of the banking or financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Windows Server Administration: Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Server environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
• IIS Management: Administer and configure Microsoft IIS for web applications, managing load balancing, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Database Support: Support and maintain Microsoft SQL Server and IBM Db2 databases, including performing SQL queries and managing data integrity.
• Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain PowerShell and Python scripts to automate routine server administration, file processing, and database tasks.
• FTP and File Transmission: Oversee and secure FTP file movements and file transmissions, ensuring compliance with data transfer protocols and automated workflows.
• Monitoring and Optimization: Utilize monitoring tools like Splunk and Dynatrace for system health checks, diagnosing performance issues, and optimizing resource utilization.
• Network Connectivity Troubleshooting: Perform basic troubleshooting for network connectivity
• Compliance and Security: Ensure systems and data handling practices comply with relevant security policies, regulatory standards, and organizational guidelines.

Qualifications/Skillset:

• Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of experience in Windows Server administration with IIS and SQL management experience.
• Strong in PowerShell and Python for automation and efficiency.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk and Dynatrace is desirable.
• Experience with FTP file movements and transmissions
• Preferred Experience with Financial Industry Tools: Familiarity with Fiserv Premier products, banking, or financial services applications.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to manage multiple priorities
