Description We are seeking a hands-on
Microsoft 365 Administrator to provide day-to-day platform administration, production support, troubleshooting, and operational maintenance across a large-scale Microsoft 365 environment. This role is ideal for an experienced administrator who enjoys resolving technical issues, supporting end users and business teams, and maintaining the reliability and performance of Microsoft 365 services.
The position focuses on administration and support rather than enterprise architecture or advanced engineering. The majority of support requests involve Exchange Online and SharePoint, with additional responsibilities across Microsoft Teams, Power Platform, Microsoft 365 applications, and Copilot.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administration and operational support across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Power Platform, Copilot, and Office applications.
- Manage incoming support requests, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve technical issues through ticketing systems and direct user support.
- Investigate and resolve Exchange Online and SharePoint issues, including access, permissions, configuration settings, and service-related problems.
- Administer Microsoft 365 services across multiple tenants and navigate the appropriate administrative portals to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Perform production support, break/fix troubleshooting, and issue resolution to maintain platform stability and minimize business disruption.
- Make administrative changes and configuration adjustments as needed to address user and platform issues.
- Use PowerShell scripts to execute administrative tasks, support troubleshooting, and automate routine activities.
- Support Microsoft Teams, Power Platform, Copilot, and other Microsoft 365 services as operational needs arise.
- Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and administrative procedures to support consistent service delivery.
- Collaborate with other technical team members to escalate complex issues and maintain effective platform operations.
Requirements Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft 365 administration and production support experience in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, including experience navigating administrative portals and managing service settings.
- Practical experience supporting Exchange Online and SharePoint Online in a production environment.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues involving Microsoft 365 services, permissions, access, and configurations.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Power Platform, Copilot, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and automation, including running existing scripts and making basic modifications.
- Experience handling support tickets, diagnosing incidents, and performing break/fix activities in a complex environment.
- Ability to prioritize competing support requests, communicate clearly with users and technical teams, and follow issues through resolution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft 365 administration experience supporting multiple tenants or complex enterprise environments.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, identity and access management, and Microsoft 365 permissions.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 service health, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications, such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert or certifications covering Microsoft 365 administration, messaging, collaboration, or identity and access management.
