What You'll Do As a Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring customer success by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing high-precision Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and related equipment. You will work independently in customer manufacturing environments, diagnose complex mechanical and electronic systems, and deliver exceptional service that strengthens long-term customer relationships.
- Install, repair, troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain CMM systems at customer locations.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software-related system issues and implement corrective actions.
- Provide technical training and operational guidance to customers on machine operation and preventative maintenance.
- Accurately document service activities and submit detailed service reports.
- Partner cross-functionally with technical support and engineering teams to resolve complex issues.
- Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction while managing service schedules effectively.
- Travel throughout the Northeast territory (up to 100%) to support customer needs.
- Lift and move equipment weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted and work a minimum of 40 hours per week, including overtime as required to meet customer needs.
Qualifications- Must be located in Michigan.
- Technical degree (Technical School, Associate, or Bachelor's) in Electronics, Industrial Mechanics, Mechatronics, or related field, or Military Technical School training and experience.
- Hands-on experience using hand tools and basic electrical test equipment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and software troubleshooting capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in dynamic environments.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to regularly lift and move equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Prior experience with CMM equipment or industrial automation is preferred.

This role is primarily field-based, supporting customers at manufacturing and industrial worksites across Michigan.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in industrial environments.
- Regularly lift and/or move equipment up to 75 pounds.
- Manual dexterity required for tool usage, keyboard use, and equipment handling.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Frequently communicates with customers and internal teams.
- Noise levels may range from low to moderate in customer facilities.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided as required.
- Travel required up to 100% within Pennsylvania and neighboring states.
