Senior Cloud Architect - AzurePosition OverviewWe are seeking a
Senior Cloud Architect with deep hands-on
Microsoft Azure expertise and experience with
AWS to design, implement, and support secure, scalable cloud solutions.
This is a
hands-on architecture and engineering role. The ideal candidate can move comfortably between solution architecture and execution-designing solutions, writing code, configuring cloud services, automating deployments, troubleshooting issues, and working directly with engineering and DevOps teams.
A key focus of this role will be the
implementation of an existing Azure PaaS-based solution in a new geographic region. You will assess the existing architecture and source code, identify regional and environmental requirements, and lead the technical implementation while maximizing reuse of the existing solution.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the architecture, implementation, and deployment of cloud-native solutions primarily on Microsoft Azure.
- Implement and adapt an existing Azure PaaS solution and source code for deployment in a new geographic region.
- Assess existing architecture, applications, and infrastructure to identify required regional, security, configuration, networking, and integration changes.
- Maximize reuse of existing architecture, code, automation, and deployment patterns while minimizing unnecessary changes to the core solution.
- Design and implement secure, highly available, scalable, and maintainable Azure solutions.
- Develop and configure solutions using .NET Core, Python, Azure PaaS services, and related cloud technologies.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Work across cloud infrastructure, networking, IAM/security, monitoring, configuration, and deployment automation.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues across applications, cloud infrastructure, integrations, and deployment environments.
- Create and maintain high-quality architecture, deployment, configuration, and operational documentation.
- Partner closely with application development, cloud/platform, DevOps, security, and infrastructure teams.
- Communicate technical decisions, architecture considerations, risks, and recommendations clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Take ownership of technical deliverables and drive initiatives from architecture and design through implementation and production deployment.
Basic Qualifications- 10+ years of experience in senior-level cloud architecture and hands-on cloud engineering.
- Extensive experience designing, deploying, and supporting Microsoft Azure solutions, with a strong focus on Azure PaaS services.
- Hands-on development and engineering experience with .NET Core, Python, and modern cloud technologies.
- Proven experience implementing secure, scalable, cloud-native solutions in enterprise environments.
- Experience adapting and deploying an existing application or cloud solution to a new geographic region or environment, including identifying and addressing regional differences and dependencies.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, cloud configuration, networking, IAM/security, monitoring, and deployment automation.
- Experience with AWS and multi-cloud environments is preferred.
- Ability to review existing architecture and code, quickly understand complex technical environments, and determine the changes required for successful implementation.
- Strong technical documentation skills, including solution architecture, deployment, configuration, and operational documentation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business and technical recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership, and resolve complex technical challenges with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with changing priorities.
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working with distributed, cross-functional teams.
Education- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
What We're Looking ForThe successful candidate is more than an architect-they are a
hands-on technical leader who can design the solution and then roll up their sleeves to build it. You should be equally comfortable discussing architecture with senior stakeholders, writing code, configuring Azure services, reviewing deployment pipelines, troubleshooting production issues, and working alongside engineers to deliver the solution.
Pay TransparencyWhere required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $105,000-$176,600. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
This position is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employer contribution, flexible spending or health savings account, life and AD&D insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally-required benefits.
