Join a high-impact engineering team supporting mission-critical workload automation and scheduling across complex enterprise environments. This senior role focuses on Control-M platform administration, modernization, and reliable operations for critical business processes.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Control-M servers and agents across multiple environments.
- Design and maintain scheduling workflows, job orchestration, and user access controls.
- Monitor platform health, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve issues related to operating systems, networking, software, and hardware.
- Support change management, problem management, and service requests, including new agent deployments and environment setup.
- Document technical issues, solutions, workarounds, and platform standards in internal knowledge resources.
- Contribute to automation-first modernization efforts, including API-driven integration and jobs-as-code practices.
- Partner with infrastructure, security, operations, and business teams to support resilient scheduling services.
- Provide on-call support as needed to help maintain 24x7 scheduling operations.
- Lead complex engineering efforts and help train technical team members on platform capabilities and standards.
Skills
- 6-9+ years of experience in IT engineering, infrastructure operations, or workload automation.
- Hands-on expertise with Control-M administration, including server and agent setup, scheduling, security, and patching.
- Strong experience with Linux/Unix and Windows Server administration.
- Proficiency in shell scripting, such as Bash or PowerShell, and strong log analysis skills.
- Working knowledge of SQL and basic database troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, ports, and firewall concepts.
- Experience with documentation, root cause analysis, and structured problem solving.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Control-M Automation API, Workload Archiving, or Application Integrator.
- Advanced scripting experience with Python.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, or infrastructure as code tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
- Cloud platform exposure, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Advanced SQL skills, database tuning, and performance optimization.
- Security integration experience with SIEM tools, SSL, or certificate management tools.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira, Splunk, Dynatrace, Agile, SAFe, ITIL, or BMC Control-M certification.
