As a Product Support Engineer, you will be the on-site technical authority and primary liaison between the manufacturing facility and product engineering, ensuring that production processes, quality standards, and technical specifications are strictly met. You will be asked to resolve technical issues, optimize manufacturing processes, and minimize downtime by providing proactive and reactive support on the factory floor.
You will ensure quality control and compliance by performing on-site inspections of components and assemblies to ensure compliance with drawings, engineering specifications, and quality standards. You will troubleshoot and problem solve by leading and resolving design or machine issues that cause production downtime. You will actively bridge the gap between suppliers, manufacturing, and product engineering to facilitate communication, report on issues, and help to ensure swift resolution to issues. You will provide post-sales technical support to ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining high-quality standards.
This position will be located at our Rushville, Indiana facility.
AS A PRODUCT SUPPORT ENGINEER, YOU WILL: - Manage and coordinate efforts among cross functional teams to complete projects
- Provide product engineering support, including managing pilot parts, pilot runs and pilot data and coordinating ECN status to operations and writing deviations if required.
- Provide support for plant operations, including supporting production and manufacturing as well as in plant quality and engineering needs.
- Lead troubleshooting activities to solve customer, plant or engineering problems.
- Contribute to quality improvement projects.
- Brainstorm and lead cost improvement projects.
- Analyze and present data as needed.
- Demonstrate understanding of functional role.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:- Bachelor's degree Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant technical field. Equivalent relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Attention to detail, strong organization skills and the ability to work independently or with a team are a must for success in this role.
- Results-driven personality with a customer service mindset is a plus.
- Strong communication skills whether written, verbal or otherwise required especially using moderately complex terminology and concepts.
- Must be willing to travel domestically up to 25%.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:- Prior experience as a technical services technician
- HVAC experience highly desired
ScheduleAssembly operates on a 4-day, 10-hour work-shift schedule. Salaried employees who are not front-line supervisors work five days to support this arrangement. They can choose between working extended hours from Monday to Thursday with a half day on Friday, or they can opt for full eight-hour workdays from Monday to Friday.

About Our LocationOur 2-building campus offers a safe and clean work environment with a "family" atmosphere. We manufacture new semi-hermetic compressors and take the worn-out, failed compressors out of the field and remanufacture them to "like new" status, as well as manufacture crank shafts. Approximately 200 employees work in Rushville and are an integral part of our organization. A 2-building campus allows for learning and growth opportunities for all our team.
