Summary

Title: SAP UI5 Developer

Location: San Antonio, TX (100% Onsite – 5 Days/Week)
Duration: 6-Month Contract (Potential for Extension)

W2 Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP UI5 Developer to join our team for a contract opportunity supporting SAP S/4HANA initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in developing custom SAP UI5 applications using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS, with hands-on experience working in an SAP S/4HANA environment.

This is a highly technical, hands-on development role where the consultant will work independently to transform high-level functional requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy custom SAP UI5 applications using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and SAP UI5.
Build solutions within an SAP S/4HANA environment, focusing on custom application development rather than standard Fiori configuration.
Collaborate with functional and technical teams to analyze business requirements and develop technical solutions.
Develop and maintain modularized ABAP code, enhancements, and custom objects as needed.
Consume and integrate OData services, Gateway Services, and CDS Views into UI5 applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve application defects identified during development, testing, and production support.
Follow established development standards, coding best practices, and change management processes.
Work independently with minimal supervision while delivering high-quality solutions within project timelines.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and solution design sessions.

Required Qualifications

Strong experience developing custom SAP UI5 applications.
Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and SAP UI5.
Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA.
Experience using SAP Business Application Studio (BAS).
Working knowledge of ABAP, including modularized programming and custom enhancements.
Experience with SAP Gateway Services, OData Services, and CDS Views.
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), MVC architecture, and data modeling concepts.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SAP Fiori Elements.
Familiarity with Git and version control best practices.
Knowledge of modern SAP S/4HANA development standards and coding syntax.
Experience extending and integrating new SAP solutions with existing custom applications.
