Description:
Client is seeking an experienced Product Manager Technical (PMT) to lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of Software Development Kits (SDKs) that power developer experiences across Microsoft platforms. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering, architecture, design, and developer relations teams to define SDK capabilities, prioritize features, and deliver high-quality developer tools. This role requires a strong technical background, product management expertise, and a passion for building scalable developer platforms.
Role and Responsibilities:
Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for SDKs and developer platform capabilities.
Define product vision, roadmap, and release strategy based on customer and business needs.
Gather requirements from internal and external stakeholders and translate them into product specifications (PRDs).
Collaborate with Engineering, UX, Architecture, and Developer Relations teams to deliver high-quality SDK releases.
Drive API design, SDK usability, versioning, backward compatibility, and performance improvements.
Prioritize product backlog, user stories, and feature enhancements using Agile methodologies.
Analyze customer feedback, telemetry, and usage metrics to identify opportunities for product improvements.
Partner with documentation and developer experience teams to improve SDK documentation, samples, and onboarding.
Coordinate cross-functional releases and ensure timely product delivery.
Present product strategy and roadmap updates to executive stakeholders.
Required Skills:
5+ years of Technical Product Management or Product Management experience.
Experience managing Software Development Kits (SDKs), APIs, or Developer Platforms.
Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Experience with REST APIs, Microservices, and API lifecycle management.
Hands-on knowledge of one or more programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
Experience working with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform cloud platforms.
Strong Agile/Scrum experience with Jira or Azure DevOps.
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience collaborating with software engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Ability to prioritize competing requirements and drive execution in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Master''s degree is preferred.
Experience working on developer tools, SDKs, cloud services, or platform products.
Experience with Azure SDKs, Developer Experience (DevEx), or Microsoft ecosystem is highly preferred.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and customer-centric mindset.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working in enterprise-scale software development environments is a plus.
