Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly experienced Lead Full Stack/Backend Engineer with a strong background in E-commerce/Retail. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and developing scalable applications using TypeScript, Node.js, AWS Lambda, and GraphQL, along with strong technical leadership and architecture skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of scalable full-stack and backend applications.
- Develop robust services and APIs using TypeScript and Node.js.
- Build and maintain serverless solutions using AWS Lambda.
- Develop and integrate GraphQL APIs, including Shopify GraphQL APIs.
- Design and implement Shopify applications, integrations, and customizations.
- Work on e-commerce/retail platforms, integrations, order management, inventory, and related business processes.
- Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and code reviews.
- Collaborate with product, business, and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.
Required Skills:
- TypeScript Primary development language
- Node.js / NodeJS Backend/service development
- AWS Lambda / Serverless Architecture
- Shopify / Shopify Plus Platform, APIs, integrations, and custom development
- GraphQL API development and Shopify GraphQL APIs
- E-commerce / Retail domain experience
- Strong experience in software architecture and technical leadership
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- 14+ years of overall software engineering experience.
- Strong experience leading full-stack/backend engineering initiatives.
- Proven experience working with Shopify and e-commerce/retail platforms.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native and serverless application architecture.
- Excellent communication and technical leadership skills.
- Must be available to work onsite in San Ramon, CA.
