Job Description
We are seeking a Revenue Accountant III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in ASC 606, SOX compliance, SSP analysis, and Zuora Revenue and a proven ability to drive accurate revenue recognition processes, improve controls, and support go-to-market initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Review SSP calculations and enhance operational processes as business needs evolve.
- Identify and remediate gaps in revenue policies and procedures resulting from new go-to-market and sales initiatives.
- Draft technical accounting memos for new guidance, non-standard transactions, and emerging business models.
- Create presentations for management and external auditors on complex technical topics.
- Assist with revenue system projects, including Zuora Revenue upgrades and acquired entity integrations.
- Partner with Finance, Product, Sales, BT, and vendors to address technical revenue considerations for pricing, packaging, partnerships, and new deal models.
- Improve existing processes and identify opportunities for automation within revenue operations.
- Develop and maintain SOX compliance in partnership with the Revenue Recognition team and business stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of combined Big 4 and/or industry finance experience specializing in revenue recognition.
- Strong proficiency in ASC 606 and SOX standards, including control execution and documentation.
- Experience researching technical accounting topics and drafting memos and policies.
- Hands-on experience with Zuora Revenue for SSP and revenue processes.
- Strong MS Excel skills and analytical problem-solving ability.
- Project management skills for planning, task assignment, and status reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- SaaS and software revenue recognition experience.
- CPA or CRC.
- Experience with Salesforce, Tableau, and revenue system upgrades.

Additional Role Details
- Schedule: 8 hours per day, onsite 2-3 days per week in San Francisco, PST time zone.
- Interview process: Two rounds, no assessments, hiring as soon as possible.
- Experience guidelines: Underqualified < 3 years, overqualified > 8 years.
