We are seeking a Product Manager - Technical (Fraud & Policy) to define, validate, and launch fraud and abuse prevention capabilities for expanding marketplace and e-commerce platforms. Operating at the intersection of technical product management, fraud/risk strategy, policy execution, operational readiness, and customer trust, you will own critical initiatives that protect customers, sellers, and partners as new international markets and e-commerce surfaces launch.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical product judgment with hands-on risk management expertise. You excel at translating complex risk signals into durable product mechanisms, partnering closely with engineering and operations, and driving alignment across multi-disciplinary stakeholders.

responsibilities:
Fraud & Abuse Strategy: Own the fraud and policy product roadmap across global launch surfaces. Translate risk patterns into technical requirements, PR/FAQs, BRDs, test plans, and control designs while balancing risk mitigation, customer experience, and speed-to-market.
Market Risk Analysis: Deep dive into country-specific fraud patterns to identify control gaps, policy needs, and localized risk vectors prior to launch. Work with regional teams to integrate country-level risk requirements into master planning.
Feature Delivery: Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and launch gates. Partner directly with Engineering to prioritize backlogs, with Analytics to build detection dashboards, and with Policy/Operations to ensure controls are auditable and supportable.
UAT & Control Validation: Drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for fraud mechanisms. Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Tax, and Accounting (FLAT) teams to validate that control mechanisms trigger appropriate operational workflows, enforcement actions, and downstream reporting.
Operational Readiness: Build SOPs, runbooks, escalation paths, and go/no-go launch checklists. Partner with Customer Service and Operations to define investigation workflows, SLAs, and post-launch performance monitoring.
Customer Communications: Governance and maintenance of localized, policy-aligned customer notification templates, ensuring messaging around fraud actions is accurate, transparent, and supports customer trust.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the central point of contact across Product, Engineering, Legal, Risk, Operations, and Executive Leadership to unblock decisions and present launch readiness narratives.
qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
5+ years of Product Management (Technical), Technical Program Management, or Business Analysis experience.
Demonstrated experience defining product roadmaps, writing technical requirements, and launching features directly with Engineering teams.
Proven track record of using data, metrics, and structured analysis to drive product decisions and evaluate operational outcomes.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and communicating with senior stakeholders through written narratives.
Ability to work 100% onsite in Seattle, WA.
Preferred Qualifications
Background in fraud prevention, trust & safety, payments/financial risk, marketplace integrity, or policy enforcement.
Hands-on experience with UAT execution, defect triage, and launching products in international or regulated markets.
Experience building risk-decisioning engines, trust scoring, enforcement workflows, case management tools, or customer notification frameworks.
Proficiency with analytics tools (SQL, Tableau, QuickSight, Excel) to analyze fraud trends and false-positive/negative rates.
Familiarity working alongside Legal, Compliance, Finance, Tax, and Operations stakeholders.
